‘Visions of China’ to Happen Despite Axed Funding
August saw the emergence of plans for a brand new Theme Park to be built in Rotherham, Yorkshire.
The Theme Park, which is set to be named ‘Visions of China’, shall feature numerous Rollercoasters and Thrill Rides, as well as a Temple, China Town, and Oriental Spa, and is expected to cost ÂŁ111million.
The project, however, has been dismissed planned funding from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund, which was to total around ÂŁ6million.
Peter Moore, a major brain behind the project has said that the lack of Government funding shall not hold back development of the park.
“It’s not going to stop us,” he said. “We’re moving ahead. We’re putting our toe in the water in terms of talking to funders. What has concerned us is we had tried to signify to everybody the support of the Government would mean a lot to the government of China.
“The support of the government of China would be very, very influential. If they wanted it to be superb, superb it would be.”
