The Swarm Trains Arrive at Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park’s new Rollercoaster for the 2012 Season, The Swarm, has today received its themed trains, after recent delivery from Bolliger & Mabillard, the Rollercoaster’s manufacturer.

The rollercoaster, which is to feature 5 inversions, is the UK’s first ‘Wing Rider’ Rollercoaster, in which riders sit beside the track, rather than above it.

Each of the rides trains shall hold 28 guests, and reach a maximum height of 127ft throughout the course of the ride.

The Swarm is set to open on the 15th of March to the general public.
