Thorpe Park Unleash ‘THE SWARM’ On-Park Marketing
In a move reminiscent of 1998′s Oblivion, Thorpe Park have started On-Park marketing for their upcoming ride, THE SWARM.
After months of countdowns and conspiracies over at lc12.net, the name for the Rollercoaster, codenamed LC12, was revealed yesterday.
The Sunken Gardens, close to Stealth, have been cordoned off with a large metal fence, sporting the words “New Coaster THE SWARM Coming 2012″. Two mock Police Officers have also been employed to guard the area/fence, and interact with guests, instructing them to stay away from the site and move along.
Atmospheric theming has also been added to the area in the form of CCTV camera and an air-raid siren.
And yes, the now-famous Les Coogan is back! But this time, he brings a whole host of new information, shining a light on the Ride’s Theme and bringing meaning the the name, THE SWARM.
“A swarm of Mosquito-like beings are coming” he says, “There will be a war; between Civilians and Aliens; We MUST stand against them”
A video, showing the Police Officers and surrounding area can be seen below:
