SW7 Track Arrives at Alton Towers

It was reported this week by Towers Street News that SW7 track arrived on site on 25th October. The track is consistent with the rumours of the roller coaster being a Gerstlauer (same manufacturer as Saw The Ride at Thorpe Park).

The track arrived by lorry and was lifted off using a crane and stored in the staff car park behind Dual. The ride is scheduled to open on March 16th 2013 and is located in X Sector, on the site previously home to The Black Hole.
