Slammer Re-Opens at Thorpe Park

Today, Slammer (one of Thorpe Park’s most iconic rides) has been re-opened after it’s recent closure, in order for maintenance work to be done.

When the ride closed, the signage was taken down and the entrance was closed, in order to bring attention away from the ride. There was plenty of speculation that Thorpe Park had closed the ride forever and were possibly thinking about selling it. This is what Thorpe Park stated in a forum post on forum.maniahub.com:

We are not looking into selling Slammer so don’t believe all the rumours you hear!

So if your thinking about heading down to Thorpe Park, you won’t be disappointed about not riding this ride.
