Shrek 4D Scrapped?
With rumours spreading the internet regarding Alton Towers’ possible installment for the 2011 season, it now seems that Shrek 4D will not be coming to the Towers.
According to Screamscape, Alton were “simply planning to throw
together a “cheap” 4D theatre”. This then led to problems between Alton Towers and Dreamworks, presumably as Dreamworks wish to portray their movie in the best way possible.
The 4D experience was believed to be constructed within the tent of the old Ice Rink, and though the possibility of a Shrek themed attraction seems ruled out; Alton are still said to be installing a 4D theatre, albeit with a different movie.

Cant blame Dreamworks really. The cinema should have been designed to be housed in a custom built building, not a tent. Its a bit lazy really.
