Power Cut Forces Part of Pleasure Beach to Close
It was reported by Blackpool Gazette that a power cut hit Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Saturday 16th March forcing part of the park to close. The Southern area of the park which includes Nickelodeon Land, Revolution and The Big One were affected in addition to some 300 residential homes in the area. No visitors required evacuation from any of the rides/attractions and guests were allowed to continue to enjoy their day in the northern part of the park.
A Pleasure Beach spokesman said:
“Power was lost at about 11am and Electricity North West worked hard to restore it and it eventually came back on at about 2pm.”
Guests have been allowed to re-use their pre-booked wristband on a future date.
