Paultons Park to Install 80ft Drop Tower
After months of keeping fans of the park on the edge of their seats, Paultons Park have finally revealed plans for their new installation for 2012. The ride, which is to be called ‘Magma’, shall be a SBF Drop Tower themed around Dinosaurs and a Volcano, it seems.
What looks to be one of the best themed Drop Towers in the country, Magma shall stand at a height of 25m and is to be located between two of Paultons largest rides, Cobra and Edge.
“Hidden beneath a silently smoking volcano, MAGMA awaits. Only the brave enter the caverns of molten rock and discover the Jurassic secret entombed below. When MAGMA erupts adventurers rise up and spin out from the smoke 25 metres into the clear sky above, only to face a stomach churning plunge back into the fiery heart of the mountain below.”
A video has been released on the ride’s dedicated website, showing investigations around the park, with a Dinosaur emerging from the ground, thus confirming the Dinosaur theme. You can watch it below.
Magma follows 2011′s Peppa Pig World, which proved extremely popular with family’s around the country. UK Park News were lucky enough to be invited to the Press Event, and you can read our review here.
