New Shrek Rumours Emerge
Over on TowersTimes, more details have emerged regarding the possible Shrek addition for Alton Towers in 2011.
The latest rumours do indeed suggest that the Ice Rink over in StoryBook Land shall be the new home for a Shrek 4D experience. Even more intriguing is that apparently a full re-theme of
both StoryBook Land and Old McDonalds farm is being planned, and shall be renamed to ‘Far Far Away’.
TowersTimes have also stated that The Beastie shall be removed at the end of this current season. This would link into what we, here at UKPN reported many months ago, when we were informed that The Beastie shall be getting a re-theme. Whether or not it will be removed can be speculated, however we are more inclined to believe a re-theme may be happening.

Well, I suppose this rumour – if true- is very good news. I for one have only ever visited Old McDonalds Farm once, and only ever pass through Storybook Land, so to see these have a re-theme might spur me to visit them once again.
I do hope The Beastie stays and is moved into the possibly newly themed area – the coaster really operates well, and I do love to go on it when the Spinball queue is exceedingly long <3
