Merlin Revoke Standard Pass Restrictions

Merlin have recently announced that 2012 shall see some changes to their Standard Annual Pass – and this time, for the better!

After to listening to feedback collected over the year, it seems that Merlin have decided to remove a selection of restrictions that had been imposed upon Standard Pass holders over the past year. For some, this meant that a Premium Pass, which features no restrictions and free parking, was the only viable option.

The restrictions no longer in place are:

  • No entry to LEGOLAND Winsor before 2pm during August. This means that families can now enjoy a full day at any time during the school Summer Holidays. Merlin do however “advise you to arrive early to avoid disappointment, as August can be busy.”
  • No entry to The Blackpool Tower from the 22nd to the 30th of October. Visitors can now enjoy The Blackpool Tower attractions at any time, subject to operating calendars and capacity.

Merlin have also announced that they shall be resdesigning the current Drinks Capsules, after many complaints regarding the poor design. “Taking on board some of your suggestions, we’ve improved the design of the Merlin Annual Pass Drink Capsule for 2012. Look out for the new capsule launching at our attractions in the spring.”
