Lightwater Valley Donned “Best Theme Park” by Going Places Magazine

In a publication today on the Yorkshire Post website, it was announced that Lightwater Valley Theme Park has been named “Best Theme Park” in the Yorkshire Region!

“The Going Places publication has been running for the last 20 years and is seen as a leading voice for pinpointing the nation’s major tourist attractions.”

We at UK Park News would like to personally congratulate Lightwater Valley. With the park’s latest investments for the 2011 season, we anticipate the forthcoming season will be the park’s most successful yet. 2011 sees the introduction of Skeleton Cove – a brand new Pirate Adventure land with a whole host of new rides.

This season also sees the return of Whirlwind – a Mondial Topscan. This ride was rented on a temporary basis throughout 2010 and due to its resounding success, the park have decided to purchase another model which will remain as a permanent attraction for 2011 and beyond!
