Thorpe Park Launch LC12 Microsite – Update

Thorpe Park have recently launched a Microsite for their new coaster for 2012. The website features a countdown timer, counting down to the 1st of August this year, presumably when more information shall be released.

Further reinforcing the idea of an Apocalyptic theme, a message on the website states:

“The beginning of the end is upon us. We must uncover the truth

The World is fragile, our foundations are cracking. Recent events are a warning. What will happen I don’t know but this marks the beginning of the end.

History points to 2012. The end is coming, this is just the start. It will come and they will not stop!

Help me uncover, help me warn.”

The rollercoaster, which is confirmed as being a Bolliger & Mabillard ‘Wing-Rider’, shall feature 4 Inversions and is to be located on an infilled island close to Stealth.

Update: We’ve just received news, and an image of marketing efforts inside the park. Stickers have been stuck all around the park, from queue-lines to supports and even windows! Actors have also been walking around the park disguised as conspiracy campaigners – wearing sandwich boards warning of the impending ‘end’.
