Halloween at Oakwood
There are a host of Halloween-themed thrills and chills taking place at Oakwood over the October Half Term holidays.
Running from Wednesday, October 26th to Sunday, October 30th anyone arriving at the Pembrokeshire theme park in full Halloween-themed fancy dress will receive a 20% discount on standard, junior and concessions tickets.
To add to the fun staff will be donning frightening fancy dress for the event and there will also be daily prize draws to win annual passes for 2012.
As well as being able to enjoy the theme park one more time before the end of the season, serious chill-seekers will also be able to join a truly spine-tingling experience with an all new live action ‘scare attraction’ at Oakwood Bowl.
The Pembrokeshire attraction, which is located next toOakwoodTheme Park, is joining forces with staff from the renowned Dragon Reptiles to create a unique live attraction ‘Horror House’ walkthrough.
Based in Cosheston, the Dragon Reptiles Experience has won acclaim from across theUKfor its own haunted house activities and staff believe that teaming up with Oakwood will provide the ultimate Halloween experience for visitors.
It’s believed this will be the first time such an event has been held in Pembrokeshire and organisers are aiming to create a must-see attraction for brave-hearted Halloween fans.
Running daily at 5.30pm from Wednesday, October 26th – Saturday, October 29th, the ‘Horror House’ walkthrough is not recommended under 12s or anyone of a nervous disposition.
Oakwood’s Anthony Crowdie said: “Participants will enter the ‘house’ in small groups and will navigate their way through darkened rooms where they will have a series of unexpected encounters.
“These types of scare attractions featuring live action were originally introduced to theme parks in theUSand are now being developed here in theUK. We’re confident our ‘Horror House’ will provide genuine thrills and chills for even the most hardened of Halloween aficionados,” he added.
