Gullivers World to build £4m Hotel

Gullivers World, Warrington shall soon be starting work on a brand new hotel, which is expected to open in 2011.

Plans for the 90-room hotel were initially drawn up in 2004, though planning permission hadn’t been granted until 2007, after being refused in 2005.

The hotel is being built in hope of attracting visitors from outside of Warrington and surrounding areas, turning the park into a two-day attraction.

Julie Daulton, Managing Director of Gullivers, says:

“We are starting to regenerate that area, which will benefit Gulliver’s World and the town. This will attract more people from farther afield. By being able to offer accommodation overnight, people will travel farther for a two-day visit.”

“We are moving towards a more resort-type structure.”

Earlier in the year, UK Park News visited Gullivers World, and conducted a full park review which can be found here.

Work on the hotel is expected to begin in a few weeks.
