Drayton Manor Welcomes One-Millionth Visitor
Drayton Manor Theme Park’s sensational 2011 season has been capped off by welcoming its one-millionth visitor.
Walsall residents Surj Lal and his wife Nina visited the park with their children Ethan and four-year-old twins Anya and Kian, on Friday 10th October, to celebrate Ethan’s sixth birthday.
To mark the one million milestone Drayton Manor has treated the family to an annual pass, which will provide them with unlimited free entry into the park for 12 months from the date of issue.
Mr Lal said: “This was an amazing surprise. We arrived to enjoy a day-out for Ethan’s birthday and ended up leaving with a pass that will let us return as many times as we want. This was definitely one birthday that Ethan will never forget.
“The kids love coming to the park because there’s so much for them to do and since we live nearby in Walsall I expect they’ll want to visit as often as they can.”
Colin Bryan, Managing Director of Drayton Manor Theme Park, said: “We’ve had an amazing 2011. The highlights have included opening our new 150-room hotel, unveiling the Ben 10: Ultimate Mission rollercoaster, having a royal visit from the Countess of Wessex, as well as staging events like the popular High Dive Show.
“Welcoming our one millionth visitor is the cherry on the cake.”
Drayton Manor Theme Park’s 2011 season will come to an end on Sunday 30th October, but Thomas Land™, the zoo, Ben 10: Ultimate Mission and other selected rides, will reopen for Drayton’s Magical Christmas, on Saturday 26th November till Monday 2nd January 2012.
