Drayton Manor and Kids Out Entertain Thousands of Children

There was plenty of laughter and excitement at Drayton Manor Theme Park today as approximately 2,721 youngsters, carers, guardians and teachers, wearing blue t-shirts, descended on the park for the biggest ever Kids Out event.

The annual event, organised in conjunction with the charity and Rotary International District 1060, provided underprivileged, disabled, and special needs children with a free, fun-filled day out.

During the day, some of the bravest youngsters experienced the likes of Apocalypse and G-Force, while Thomas Land™ and the zoo were popular destinations for many others.

Colin Bryan, Managing Director, Drayton Manor Theme Park, commented: “What a wonderful day! It was a great sight to see all the children arrive in their lovely blue Kids Out t-shirts. We’ve hosted this Kids Out event for over 20 years it’s a real privilege to do so. I’m already looking forward to next year’s event.”

David Cosham, chief executive of Kids Out, added: “The kids had a fantastic time. Days like this are what the charity is all about. We’re passionate about helping disadvantaged kids from all over the UK and I’m extremely grateful to Rotary International District 1060 and Drayton Manor Theme Park for their ongoing support.”
