Chessington World of Adventures Ride to Raise Money

Staff at Chessington World of Adventures Resort joined forces with colleagues from other Merlin-owned theme parks and got on their bikes for what was the ultimate cycle challenge, all in aid of Merlin’s Magic Wand Charity.

Merlin’s Magic Wand is a worldwide charity for children, which aims to provide magical experiences for those who are seriously ill, disabled or disadvantaged. Created by the Merlin Entertainments Group, Merlin’s Magic Wand is a UK charitable trust.

Staff from across Merlin as a company are regularly invited to participate in a number of fundraising events throughout the year and Friday 14th October marked the start of the much anticipated ‘4 Parks 4 Days’ cycle challenge!

The challenge saw staff cycle from Thorpe Park to Chessington, Chessington to Legoland and Legoland to Alton Towers.  All in all they cycled a huge 245 miles!

The riders completed the first leg of their journey on Friday afternoon as they arrived at the gates of Chessington World of Adventures Resort to a welcoming crowd of adventurers.
