Chessington Packed to Capacity
As in previous years, this February half term has seen many UK theme parks open their gates to visitors, offering parents some temporary reprieve from wall the kids at home that are no doubt already climbing the walls with boredom. Half term opening offers a selection of rides and attractions at a reduced price. Normally at this time of year park areas and major attractions are in the midst of their winter overhaul ahead of the new season.
You might think that with Chessington only opening it’s Zoo and Sea Life Centre, visitor numbers wouldn’t be anything more than average, but the £11.70 adult and £9 child tickets have seen the gate figures rocket in the last few days with the park having to turn away visitors due to reaching maximum capacity. The following was announced via the park’s official Facebook page:
“Due to popular demand, Chessington has reached capacity. We constantly monitor visitor numbers to ensure maximum enjoyment and safety. As a result we have made the decision to close the park to any more guests today. Limited pre-book tickets are still available online for the remainder of African Adventures which runs until 24th February”.
Guests are advised to prebook to avoid disappointment.
