Blackpool Named one of the Top 10 Parks in the World
Today, Pleasure Beanch Blackpool announced via their Official Facebook page that they have been named a top 10 world park. Here’s full details:
Pleasure Beach Blackpool is celebrating after being named one of the top ten parks in the world at a recent awards ceremony.
Park managers from across the globe gathered at Holiday World, Indiana, on 16th and 17th September for the annual ceremony, which recognises the very best in the theme park and water park industry.
The Golden Ticket Awards are presented by Amusement Today, an international publication which covers the theme park industry. The Golden Ticket Awards were set up in 1998 and have since recognised top parks and attractions on a year to year basis.
Pleasure Beach Blackpool charted joint 10th in the āTop Parkā category with Cedar Point, Ohio clinching the top spot. Also joining Pleasure Beach in the Top Park category were Disneyland and Universal Studios. Pleasure Beach Blackpool was the only UK park to chart in the category.
Commenting, Pleasure Beach Managing Director Amanda Thompson said, āI am absolutely delighted that Pleasure Beach has been recognised on such a international level. The park was founded in 1896, and ever since then we have strived to offer the very best in fabulous entertainment. Our year on year investment and the opening of Nickelodeon Land this year has helped cement our position on the international map and as the UKās number one parkā.
