Animal Antics for Conservation at Chessington World of Adventures
This Saturday 25th June Chessington World of Adventures Resort will host a very special ‘after hours’ event in aid of the Chessington Conservation Fund (CCF). From 6pm through to dusk visitors will experience the Zoo and SEA LIFE centre in a whole new light, with special animal shows, meet & greets, keeper talks and exclusive auctions.
Launched earlier in 2011 the CCF will build upon the great work the Zoo has already achieved in its 80 years of operation such as the successful breeding of Sumatran Tigers and the highly endangered Andean Condor, as well as supporting chosen charity partners from at home and around the world including, The Surrey Wildlife Trust, The World Land Trust and the EAZA Ape campaign.
Marc Boardman, Zoo Manager says,
“The Conservation fund is a project we have been working on for a while and we are excited to finally have it up and running. It is important that we continue our successful breeding programmes within the Zoo but also spread our reach and help protect animals in the wild”.
Tickets for this special one off event are available on the gate or in advance online at www.chessington.com for only £5 with 100% of the evening’s proceeds going into the conservation fund.
