Alton Towers Scrap Reduced Ride Hours

It has recently been announced that Alton Towers have scrapped yet another money saving plan. Recently, it was decided that numerous attractions, including Air and Th13teen, would not open until 11am, a full hour after the park opens.

The news, reported by TowersTimes, follows a series of cost cutting decisions, all of which have been revoked due to widespread negative views on the moves. It is thought that this too is the reason behind reinstating usual operating hours.

Several rides remain unaffected, including the Congo River Rapids and The Flume, though this is unlikely to cause much annoyance as water rides are less popular in the early hours of opening.

It’s unknown what Alton Towers will implement next to reduce operating costs. But one things for sure, they’re in need of money. Whether that be for next years SW7, or purely to increase profit, chances are we’ll see more reductions in the near future.
