New 4D Attraction Opens at RAF Museum Cosford

Simworx recently announced installation of their latest 4D experience at RAF Museum Cosford.

If you have ever wondered what it actually feels to fly to the moon or to participate in an intense aerial battle wonder no more. NEW at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford this August, visitors will be able to experience all the thrills and exhilaration of powered flight by entering the Museum’s newest exhibit – its 4D Experience by Simworx.

This purpose built theatre combines cutting-edge stereoscopic 3D computer animation with the added fourth dimension of dynamic seating and special environmental effects including seat movements, water spray, leg ticklers and smoke effects.  Visitors will be transported directly into each story as they become a member on board the Apollo 11 space shuttle mission to the moon with a whimsical twist involving three teenage flies; or a World War One fighter pilot taking part in a thrilling mid-air combat in a tri plane aircraft.

Located in the Test Flight Hangar, visitors can now experience the two 4D rides available ‘Fly me to the Moon’ and ‘Dog Fight – Red Baron’ as part of their visit.  Each stunning film lasts approximately seven minutes, and is sure to entertain visitors of all ages.

RAF Museum Merchandising Manager, Vinit Mehta says:
We are delighted to add the 4D Experience to our Museum. Its cutting-edge 4D technology combined with breathtaking effects will take the motion theatre experience to new heights. Our visitors will be able to reflect everything they would feel in real life without actually crossing that line of being in a theme park ride. It is entertaining yet educational and will provide another aspect to visitors’ experience. Thoroughly recommended and something that should not be missed on your visit to the Museum.”
